Read About the Benefits of Using Hair Extensions

Most people think that hair extensions spoil the natural look of their hair. Few others consider them as an option to change them into someone that they are not. Contrary to the beliefs of people, there are many ways by which the extensions can really benefit individuals.

For example, hair extensions can be considered as the right solution for people who have thin hair. Some people's hair is extremely thin that they cannot even put a pony tail. Thinning of hair is caused due to a number of reasons. It is found that various diseases can result in thinning of hair. In some cases, thinning or the damage of hair occurs due to the intake of certain type of medicines. Even though the individual who takes treatment can switch his/her medication, but this is not considered as a good and safe option. Hair extensions can solve all these problems. By considering this option, you can continue your treatment regimen as well as have yourself thicker hair.

Thinning of hair can also occur due to old age. As people grow older, they begin to experience this. This is the time they have to think about hair extensions. By choosing this option, they don't really have to hide their thin hair under their wigs, hats and scarves; instead they can be confident about the looks and appearance.

Hair extensions are not only beneficial for people who have thin hair, but this can also be considered as an effective solution for those individuals who want to look glamorous during occasions such as proms, weddings, dating or balls. Most of the women would love to have excessive hair-dos during these events. In fact, many of them do not have long hairs in order to make the desired hair style. If you are one among them, hair extensions can be the right option.

Since these extensions are made of human protein filaments, it looks almost similar to natural human hair. However, the synthetic extensions (made of plastic fiber) may slightly look different from natural hair. While buying human hair extensions, you always have to consider few things. At first, check out for the quality of the product. Also make sure that it last at least for a year. The next thing you need to consider is the price. Buy one that fix well within your budget plan. It is advisable not to purchase cheaper ones since they get worn out quickly.

Why Yoga Is a Great Activity

Why is yoga a great activity? Would the answer be the same now as it was 1500 years ago? We are changing; and the world we live in is changing. Many years ago yoga would have been a great path to understanding self and connecting with the larger self. Today many find yoga a great activity and this is probably why.

Fast Pace of Life

Lights! Camera! Action! This calls for a lot of energy. Energy increases with movement. Are we hurrying to get bigger, better, and more? Yoga can keep up with the faster times. Yoga can serve us well. We can emphasize the physical aspect and keep moving. Increase our muscle tone, strengthen our bones, get more stamina to keep up. Yoga challenges us to keep up with demanding postures.

Multitasking

In Kundalini Yoga, for example, you learn to: (1) move with powerful breathing (2) have an eye focus (3) have a mental focus and (4) mentally repeat a mantra. All at the same time. Far from becoming scattered, the mind becomes focused. Yoga beginners find this quite a task.

Nervous System Balance

Great activity remains great when balanced with rest. Yoga's darling of a pose is Shavasana. Yes, during a yoga session there are small resting periods in poses like Downward Facing Dog, or a welcoming pose for Yoga beginners, the Child's Pose. The parasympathetic nervous system, the resting system, gets a chance to become active in yoga. With the fast pace our sympathetic nervous system is out front making the charge, causing things to happen. When this system is kept in high drive it creates havoc in our body and mind. It becomes essential for our physical and mental health to learn to relax. Yoga teaches us how to relax.

Reduction of Drug Use

Along with this fast pace life came lots of prescription and non-prescription drugs. More and more people want to avoid taking drugs as a cure. They are concerned about the side effects caused by taking drugs. Yoga can reduce drug use. It is a great activity that improves our breathing. Helps us sleep better. Improves the functioning of the systems of the body, including the immune system. Improves circulation. It also reduces anxiety and increases self esteem.

Relationships

Yoga's philosophy includes five suggestions for improving our relationships with others. These five qualities include non-violence and truth.

Yoga is an awesome activity that's why yoga beginners quickly become yoga enthusiasts.

Perfecting a Smart-Casual Outfit

The fine art of perfecting the smart-casual outfit can be difficult to pull off successfully. It's often easy to find an elegant and smart dress, or something laid back for meeting friends, but finding something that works well at a less formal work function, for example, can be tricky. Indeed, many of us dread such social occasions less because they involve the necessity of fatuous banter around a tray of barely defrosted supermarket vol-au-vents and more as a consequence of the necessity of buying an outfit just to fit in. In fact, what even constitutes smart-casual is something of a moveable feast and, quite frankly, nothing leaves you treading water more than a rather nebulous dress code that could quite conceivably incorporate anything from a pair of jeans, to a smart summer blazer and matching skirt. However, woes beside the woman who turns up at a social event to find that she has completely misjudged the dress code.

Playing it safe is the best way, but how exactly can you do this? The answer is by layering. By the judicious use of a number of great fashion staples and a few accessories, you can easily dress yourself up or down in the flick of a beautifully made silk scarf. As with any outfit, the foundation of your look will revolve around your choice of skirt or trousers, so go for something neutral. If it's an evening event, stick to a plain dark colour and if it's a day event, go for neutral or pastel shades. Alternatively, why not go for an all in one approach and find a simple yet elegant summer dress that can then be worn with a variety of other accoutrements.

This also gives you the added advantage of ensuring you can stay cool if the weather is nice, or keep warm if you need to and accessorise with a smart cardigan. Indeed, the most important part of your ensemble is what type of top you choose. Go for something that you might wear to the office, but then dress it up by accessorising with a nice scarf and necklace. Plain colours are best as they won't attract attention and can then be layered with the addition of a nice jacket or blazer. Indeed, it is the use of a jacket that ensures you'll fit in whatever the event, as it can quickly be removed if you find that you're overdressed, or given a further formal edge by the addition of a broach or other jewellery accessories.

Make Your Own Design: Regardless Of Your Artistic Skills

Photo gifts are a wonderful thing; they allow absolutely anyone to make their own special and meaningful gifts for loved ones, regardless of the level of their artistic skills!

Photo gifts allow you to make your own design and place it on hundreds of different products. Now, if you're lucky enough to possess good artistic skills your options are limitless, however, the reality is, most of us aren't privileged enough to possess such skills and we need more than a little help!

This article is written to show you how easy it is to make your own gift and provide you with a few tips that will allow you to design and create your own "one of a kind" unique gifts, gifts that the special people in your life will adore!

The most basic designs

Popular basic designs include photos of people, particularly children, spouses, boyfriends and girlfriends. While these photos can be placed on any number of photo gifts, they are most commonly used on personalized phone cases, key chains, cufflinks, dog tags, custom golf accessories, money clips, mugs, playing cards, wallets and watches. Most people complete their personalization with a little text, commonly the recipient's name, sometimes along with the date and the event.

Of course, when you design your own gift, using your own photos and personal messages, you are 100% assured that your gift will be unique and that the recipient will be very impressed and pleased by the amount of effort you have put into your gift giving.

Make your own design using children's drawings

A design idea that is becoming more and more popular is the use of kid's drawings on photo gifts. For example, a dad is always pleased to wear a pair of cufflinks customized with his son's drawing of daddy! Maybe "daddy" would also enjoy showing off his son or daughter's artwork on his golf ball markers - there's nothing better to give him bragging rights on the golf course!

Most moms are proud to display their children's artwork on their coffee mug. Other gift ideas for women that use kid's art for the design include cosmetics bags, toiletries bags, tote bags and umbrellas. There are of course many other products you can design with children's art - the best thing about presents featuring this type of design is you are guaranteed that both parents and grand-parents will treasure them forever!

Getting a little more adventurous

When it comes to designing larger items like blankets and shower curtains you usually need a very large photo, that to be honest, unless you own a very expensive camera, most people do not have access to.

Before I move on, it's important you understand that if you enlarge a smaller photo to cover an item like a blanket or shower curtain, the image on the finished item will at best not be sharp, or at worst, look completely blurred and faded. The lesson here is to never stretch an image to cover a product as you will always be disappointed with the result!

So, back to the design - you have three options; create your own collage, use a tile pattern, or use a template.

Many people have software on their computers that allows them to create their own photo collages - if you have access to this type of software you can design your own collage, upload it to a photo gifts web-store and make your own gift very quickly. If you don't, there's no need to panic; most design platforms offer the option for you to create your own collage online.

Many photo gift websites also offer a design platform that allows you to repeat your image over and over again to create a tile effect - tile effect patterns are popular on shower curtains but less so on blankets.

The third option, to use a template, is only offered by a few select photo gift stores. It's worth hunting around to find the right store if you want to create a really professional looking blanket or other large item.

These templates allow you to choose your color and pattern schemes and provide you with pre-formatted areas to insert your photos and text. They make wonderful gift ideas and are always appreciated by the recipient.

Although this article has only scratched the surface, I hope you now understand that you don't need to be an artist or graphic designer to make your own design?

Yoga Breathing Techniques for Asthma Sufferers

Breathing becomes very shallow for the person with asthma. Sometimes a wheezing or whistling sound can be heard. There might be insomnia. Medicine is prescribed for this chronic respiratory disease. In addition to medicine complementary therapies can be helpful.

There are 2 common myths surrounding asthma.

Myth 1 - Asthmatics should not exercise.

Asthmatics too will benefit from exercise. With proper medication asthmatics can exercise normally.

Myth 2 - You'll grow out of it.

This is apparently both true and false. Some children do "out-grow" the disease. Some adults who have asthma did not have it as a child.

As a complementary therapy, Yoga can assist breathing in several ways.

1.Yoga Postures

Positions that expand the chest creating more space for lung expansion include the Camel. If you have never done yoga, you can still practice an easy version of any pose. If you cannot sit on the floor, sit on the edge of a chair with your feet planted firmly on the ground or prop. Extend your arms behind you and hold the back of the chair. Inhale and lift your chest fully, expanding it. Then lean your head backward to a place that's comfortable for your neck.

Stay for 6 easier breaths.

2. Mudra (Hand Position)

Curl or curve all the fingers (fist with thumbs out) and turn the back of the left hand toward the chest. Grip fingers (Bear Grip in Kundalini Yoga). Pull the fingers with moderate pressure while exhaling and release the pressure slightly when inhaling. Take about 7 breaths. Then repeat this time with the back of the right hand toward the chest. (This is not to be used in asthma crisis.) Please not if you have High Blood Pressure begin this practice slowly.

3. Yoga Restorative techniques

To gently energize, practice restorative postures. These postures lengthen the muscles without much effort on your part. Your body is supported by bolsters and blankets. The mind becomes calmer as you notice the gentle movement of the breath. If you like, create a visualize that supports easy breathing.

4. Yoga Stress Reduction techniques

For emotional health, yoga offers regular relaxation, and a very deep relaxation technique called yoga nidra. Anger and fear and all the shades of these 2 emotions, make breathing shallow. Regular practice of relaxation techniques do even more than calm emotions. It can give us a new perspective so that issues that created stress are seen as challenges.

5. The Experience of Stillness

After a practice of yoga postures, relaxation, breathing techniques and meditation, there is a stillness within; a feeling like you have come home. You have become a friend to your body, emotions and soul.

Yoga Therapy - Boost the Immune System Through Yogic Relaxation and Yoga Therapy

Yoga practitioners develop self observation skills even during the relaxation at the end of the yoga class. Yogic relaxation exercises are many, and vary from progressive muscle relaxation to breath awareness.

There is however a systematic relaxation of the many body parts that deeply relaxes body and brain, and can infuse the body with consciousness even at a cellular level. Where attention goes, energy follows. Disconnection from the body is one cause of illness. This conscious and felt connection with more than 100 body parts during yogic relaxation, infuses the parts with life energy, also called chi, or prana.

Researchers, from Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (SVYASA) and Bangalore Institute of Oncology (BIO), tested yoga relaxation techniques on those living with breast cancer in second and third stage and found that the exercises were not only successful in fighting the side effects of the ailment, but also helped maintain immunity levels to fight the disease.

Yoga techniques include poses, breathing, hand positions, meditation, self study and relaxation. Singling out relaxation, there are at least ten yogic relaxation techniques to quiet the mind and relax muscle tension. Benefits from relaxing mind and body affect us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. They include:

Increase ability to focusIncrease ability to communicate with othersContributes to increased energy levelsIncreased self acceptance and inner peaceIncreased resistance to anticipated stress
Yoga becomes therapeutic when yoga techniques are selected and modified to suit your needs. You become deeply involved as you observe and assess the effect of the practice on your body and mind. Self-observation and self assessment can or must be an ongoing practice, to keep in touch with all aspects of our being.

In a formal yoga on the mat practice, we can develop our self observation skills by paying attention to many intricate details of our physical body. "Are my shoulders stabilized?" Or on the other hand, we may find that simply being aware of and feeling whether we are maintaining length in the spine, suffice for self assessment of the physical.

Maintaining awareness of and feeling the movement of breath while we hold a pose, also develops our self-observation skills. And on a more subtle level, awareness and self assessment of how grounded we are, or how much lightness we feel is the first step to keeping us balanced energetically when in the pose.

On deeper levels, as we remain steady in the pose, we might observe and feel how much sadness our heart holds, and/or how much determination we feel. The longer we are able to hold and breathe easily in the pose, we may observe ourselves enveloped with feelings of softness, surrender or courage.

The more we are able to connect with all levels of our being, i.e. physical, energetic, mental emotional, spiritual, the more we improve the health of our immune system and foster the sense of well being. Energy follows our attention.

What steps will you take today to infuse your physical body, mind and emotions with consciousness?

Fancy Dress Ideas

When you are invited to a fancy dress party, choosing an outfit which has impact can be difficult. There are so many aspects to take into consideration. For example, if you are not confident about your body it is probably not the best idea to wear a Catwoman outfit. Similarly it is best not to wear anything which you may feel uncomfortable in as the night goes on.

There are many outfits which are popular with regards to fancy dress. Here we look at a few for the men and for the ladies too.

A very popular men's outfit is the full body stocking. These are often favoured by groups of men who are looking for something fun and attention grabbing to wear on a stag weekend or suchlike. These body stockings come in a variety of colours and patterns and can also be worn by ladies too. This is a full body suit which covers the face too. However the wearer can still see and breathe perfectly naturally through the suit itself which is skin tight but still very comfortable with lots of stretch in the fabric which is usually spandex.

Another very popular outfit for men is the superhero outfit which is fantastic for those who are young at heart. Spiderman, Superman and Batman are the main superhero outfits which are in demand due to the fact that they are very much under the media spotlight. There are no real DIY options when thinking of dressing up as a superhero but costumes are readily available online and in stores.

One of the most enduringly popular ladies dress up outfits has to be the sexy witch. This is quite an easy one to put together so long as you have the right accessories. A little black dress teamed with stiletto heels and some smoky and sultry make up will take you halfway there. Add a witch's hat and painted nails and you have your own sexy witch outfit. There are also plenty of great looking witch costumes available to buy. These are inexpensive and many are very good quality too.

Another very popular fancy dress look for women is the policewoman. There are literally hundreds of different policewoman costumes on sale. Some of them are rather daring and it is recommended that before you purchase an outfit you check that the length and amount of flesh on show is OK for you. The policewoman outfit is very popular for ladies who are on hen nights as they can have a lot of fun and laughs 'arresting' males they encounter on their travels! The accessory of choice for the policewoman look is a set of handcuffs which add to the fun and playful vibe!

Whatever outfit you choose for your fancy dress needs, always remember to make is a little playful and to have fun choosing it. Fancy dress parties can be amazing but the actual planning of the outfit can be just as much fun! If in doubt, always ask for your friend's opinion and bounce ideas off one another.

If you are looking to standout at the party this year then why not try a Halloween Morphsuit. Buy direct from the U.Ks original supplier of Halloween morphsuit costumes and check out the full range of costumes today.

Yoga For Beginners - Explore Emotional Healing With Yoga Poses

Looking for tips on Yoga for Beginners? Yoga poses can be used to explore feelings. Think of  your time with yoga poses as an experiment; as if you were in a laboratory. Kripalu yoga developed a framework for working with emotions: Breathe, Relax, Feel, Witness, Allow.

Decide that you want to experiment with an emotion. You can choose to go deep and explore, or you may prefer to simply witness the process. There are 3 principles to consider when witnessing. Let's use 1 principle and work with a Standing Pose.

Standing poses are great to work with when dealing with emotions. They bring a quality of strength and confidence as you make effort to sustain the pose. At the same time  you remain calm and relaxed as you pay attention to your breath. The two qualities of effort and surrender or relaxation create a healthy balance in yoga poses and in life. In yoga for beginners this is an important point to grasp through experience.

With stability in the pose as well as sustained effort and relaxation, tensions held a little deeper in the body can surface. This is your opportunity to explore, eventually integrate and release.

Working with Emotions through Sensations

Choose a standing pose from the yoga poses you like.  Enter the pose and find a way to hold the pose comfortably to allow sensations to emerge and expand. Avoid suppressing or sidestepping sensations. Feel your feet on the ground and press all 4 corners of the feet evenly into the earth. Lift the toes for even more support for the feet and legs. With support and stability established in the pose, gently lengthen the spine.

Witness

After you have established a firm foundation, totally focus on the physical sensations you feel. Remember to breathe consciously, and create space for the breath with micro movements when necessary. Encourage the breath to fill the whole body and definitely touch the sensations you want to work with. Use the breath to draw your attention inwards.

Notice the size, shape, quality of the sensation. Perhaps you are able to see colors and images.  To witness is to observe without judging or analyzing.  If creating a sound helps with a release of emotions, by all means free yourself.

Healing Emotions

This process releases stuck energy of feelings and emotions. What do you notice when the energy is released?

Do share your experience of healing emotions through any of the yoga poses you choose to explore in your laboratory.

And now, I'd like to invite you to claim your free access to a guided relaxation when you visit http://www.yogatogo.com/ Type "guided meditation" to search the blog.

Yoga Therapy - 4 Steps to Turn a Frown Into a Healing Prayer With Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy is a lot more than a prescription for yoga exercises. It takes the whole person into consideration at 3 levels: body mind and spirit. So if a frown has shown up once more on your face, here's a healing path you can choose to take. A "frown" is any negative feeling you experience. This self healing path turns a frown into a meaningful prayer from the heart, and calms the heart. Here are 4 ABLE steps that could be used in a yoga therapy session.

Acknowledge and Accept

What exactly are you feeling? Name it. Is it anger or hurt? Are you feeling scared or nervous? Are you worried or anxious? You may be feeling a milder form of emotion. You may have a combination of emotions. Take a moment and acknowledge all feelings and emotions.

Can you find a way to accept the situation, person or feeling? If you find this a difficult step, check to see if you are blaming or if you have guilt.

Yoga Therapy includes yoga psychology and asks us to question and change old belief systems that no longer serve us.

Breathe Consciously

Become aware of your natural breath moving in and out. You can even say to yourself, "Breathing in, I know I'm breathing in" when you breathe in. And then "Breathing out, I know I'm breathing out" when you breathe out. This allows you to be in the present moment, and to be with your body and breath, rather than dwell totally in your head.

Let Go

Let go of tension in the face, shoulders and any where you are holding tension. Relax the mouth, watch the frown dissolve as soften the face. When the mind is tense, it reflects somewhere in the body. Find that place and encourage relaxation. You could visualize being in your favorite nature spot, or see the tension leaving your body like smoke when you exhale.

Visualization is an important aspect of Tantra Yoga and it is included in Yoga Therapy.

End with Heart Connect

Place your hand on your spiritual heart. Thumb and index finger up by the collar bone. In the palm of your hand is a pool of energy. Can you feel it? To increase the energy there, and your level of sensitivity to the energy, rub the palms together a few times then place one hand on your heart. Gently close your eyes and let your attention rest right at that heart connect. Allow a prayer to arise from your heart, and feel this healing prayer in your body.

This is an example of working with the level of the mind in Yoga Therapy.

Take this healing path from a frown to your healing prayer as often as you need to. It is a self healing strategy that connects you with our heart.

And now, I'd like to invite you to free download of Perception Checklist when you visit http://www.yogatogo.com/thank-you-for-your-interest-in-the-perception-checklist

Silver Bangle Bracelets and Their Timeless Love Affair With Jewelry Design

When you think of traditional bracelets, two very popular designs likely come to mind right away. First, the classic tennis bracelet and, second the timeless bangle bracelet. The latter is one that is designed to either slip on and off the wrist without closure, or may be styled to open and close with the help of a slide insert clasp. Regardless of which option you choose, silver bangle bracelets are always in high demand.

As for the many reasons why so many have grown to love this classic design, silver bangle bracelets never go out of style. Their timeless beauty appeals to many women who want to know that the jewelry they purchase and wear today will still be in fashion several weeks, months or years from now. Bangles are very much a fashion statement, and not a temporary craze. The structured design of a bangle is such that it wraps around the wrist to create an uninterrupted line, which is another reason why this classic is a signature piece for many women. Many have also been known to remark that they love to hear the 'clanging' of a bangle bracelet, either next to other bangles or during everyday wear.

Speaking of everyday wear, silver bangle bracelets are beloved perhaps most of all for their simplicity. The basic design of all bangles is the same - a rigid bracelet designed to embrace the wrist offering the wearer one continual line of uninterrupted beauty. Aside from a ring or wristwatch, bracelets are the only piece of jewelry that the wearer can actually see without having to look in a mirror. As such, ladies will enjoy an accessory that is both visually pleasing and versatile.

Silver bangle bracelets are perhaps among the most versatile styles available. The icy white, neutral tone of sterling silver is beautiful when paired with any wardrobe. From office to casual and even formal, silver is a lovely choice. There are several online retailers that offers a large selection of bangle bracelets crafted in genuine.925 sterling silver. If you incorporate cubic zirconia into a silver setting, you instantly have the look of a very expensive bracelet. As a manmade stone, cubic zirconia is created to resemble the perfect diamond. Add these characteristics together, combine them with the classic bangle design and you have one breathtaking bracelet.

In closing, silver bangle bracelets are always going to be in fashion. Whether you bought one last year, last week or are just now beginning to build your jewelry wardrobe, you can feel confident in knowing that your investment will be a wise one. Many shoppers avoid certain fashion trends because they know that they are only temporary. Select designs, however, such as the bangle, have been popular for years. They have more than proven their staying power and, with designers constantly coming up with new ways to add a modern twist to this very classic style, there is definitely no end in sight to its popularity. Just like the design itself, the love of bangle bracelets continues.

Almost Diamonds, a popular online retailer specializing in sterling silver jewelry, has a complete line of items featuring cubic zirconia and genuine gemstones in a variety of styles to choose from. If you are looking to maximize your jewelry collection without minimizing your wallet, consider the affordable option of sterling silver. Not only is this a precious metal that's designed to last forever, but it also is an economical way to get the look of platinum or white gold without spending a fortune.

Classical Yoga - Daydreams, Purposeful Living and the Gift of Classical Yoga From Wise Ones of Old

Classical Yoga from the wise ones of old has much to offer for our health, happiness and deep connection to life. When we embrace it, our life will change from daydreaming to purposeful living.

I remember lying in bed way up north in freezing Fort McMurray, Alberta, daydreaming of floating on my back in the warm Caribbean sea. It was my favorite thing to do way back then in the seventies.

I would say that back then I spontaneously resorted to the gift we all have and certainly used frequently as children.. day dreaming. Within a few years of daydreaming I was indeed back in the warm Caribbean waters floating on my back. Without an inkling, totally clueless, I had been creating my future with frequent daydreams.

Since then, we have come to learn this daydreaming as visualization. Visualization is one of the techniques used to calm the mind and body. And believe it or not, it was recommended as a technique thousands of years before the offerings of the "new age".

Classical Yoga offers a map on how to live a happy, healthy life, and feel deeply connected. The wise ones thousands of years ago provided solutions to all of our challenges today. As an example, when we sit to meditate whatever is bugging us that we have pushed to the back of our mind will push back. It comes to sit with us. An uninvited guest that refuses to leave.

Classical Yoga reveals this as natural. Before you can quiet the noisy mind some preliminary steps make it easier; like knowledge. When you know who you are and gain insight into the world, that uninvited guest would become a person just passing through, even bearing gifts. It also helps to have a garland of virtues around your neck. First two given: ahimsa, non-violence, and satya, truth. That way relationships can be respectful.

This system of Classical Yoga takes it a few steps further. You know that tight muscle that seems to accompany the uninvited guest? Well, take care of it before you sit to feel cozy; the system advises. Your physical body must be relaxed otherwise instead of feeling cozy like you want to, your mind will be drawn to that one uncomfortable spot in your body.

Classical Yoga minimizes the confusion that can occur when we fumble the ball of life. We are fortunate that the insights of the wise ones of old have been preserved and are available. I am thankful for this.

May you be guided by ancient wisdom as you navigate in and contribute purposefully to our modern world.

And now, I'd like to invite you to visit http://www.yogatogo.com/ for other musings and gifts.

Indian Fashion Designer Satya Paul's Printed Sarees

Printed silk sarees are a popular garment in India favoured by the rich and poor alike. Printed silk sarees that have fewer embellishments and rely more on the pattern and quality of material are favoured by working women because they are light in weight and easy to wear. These are daily use garments that are worn by women at home and in the office. More extravagantly detailed Sarees in terms of embroidery and embellishments are usually occasion wear.

Silk sarees vary in quality, depending on the origin and quality of the silk in question. Chinese silks are popular amongst the cheaper varieties of silk and for mass produced products. Indian silk is usually considered premium and more expensive than mass produced silks. Indian sarees made using Indian Silks are usually more expensive than the ones made using normal silk material.

The quality of silk used is a factor that affects weight of the saree and the potential printing techniques that can be used on the Saree. Silks heavier than 50 gsm are preferred for Digital printing because the fabric can withstand the printing process and does not fray after the printing is complete. Screen-printing and block printing are popular technique for lower weight of silk (less than 50 gsm).

Sarees used by people in a humid climate tend to be lighter in weight because they breathe well. In colder and less humid climates, silk sarees that are heavier in weight are preferred because they permit the heat to be retained close to the body.

The heavier silks give a good finish to the prints in terms of the colour rendition and the final finish of the fabric. Printed silks are popular for Sarees, but these are also popular for other products like Silk Scarves.

Patterns and designs used for printing are determined by the end customer for the products. Prints for the Indian customer usually feature floral inspired patterns, animal forms, geometric forms and abstract patterns. The colours used in silk sarees are vibrant and bright, reflecting the local seasons and culture. Silk sarees for an international market are usually contemporary in pattern and neutral in colour tones. Silk sarees can also feature patterns that have a historical significance like the epic hindu tales of the mahabharata.

Sarees are created by many different Indian designers, but few of them are as recognised as those created by Indian Designer Satya Paul. The Sarees created by Satya Paul are the right balance of material, print and embellishments. This Indian fashion designer has a particular style of creating prints and patterns that he has developed over many years.

Printed silk Sarees are one of the staple Indian clothes that this Indian designer produces. He has made his name over the years by creating styles that are easy to wear for any occasion and styles that flatter most age groups.

Satya Paul silk sarees are also coveted for their innovative use and combination of vibrant colours. Buy the latest collection of Satya Paul silk Sarees from Strand of Silk - http://strandofsilk.com/

Classic Bomber Jackets

Take a modern-day airline trip, with its comfortable pre-flight lounges followed by onboard catering and film shows and you'll find yourself in surroundings far removed from those experienced by aviation pioneers of the past. The open-topped planes available to those early pilots provided little or no protection from the elements and because they flew at low altitudes, required no pressurised enclosures either. By the time of the second great War most planes had canopies that protected against wind, rain but not pressurised, so larger planes such as transport craft and bombers, which could fly at higher altitudes, could experienced extreme cold temperatures - sometimes as low as 50 below - that is cold. There were benefits however such as cheaper car parks and there were no departure queues.

Following the war, a number of subcultures developed that took the bomber jacket under their wing, and the garment itself would see some fundamental shifts, so that modern-day jackets are almost indistinguishable to those originally worn by bomber crew. The first people to adopt the bomber jacket were the bikers and it made perfect sense, of course - they too were exposed to the elements as they rode their bikes, and with wind chill factors thrown in, there was a compelling need to keep body temperatures comfortable as well as providing protection in case of a spill. Tarmac and leather coming together have a useful feature of keeping abrasion wounds to a minimum. Although air forces kept on flying after the war, there was a big surplus of military clothing which could be acquired relatively cheaply, and hence the bomber jacket found a new market.

The original thick soft wool collar lining was great at keeping pilots warm but was a little too bulky for general day wear even though it was a key element of the look, hence the bomber underwent its first of many transformations, dropping the bulky collar lining and now resembling a traditional leather jacket.

Eventually skinheads came to like the look of the bomber and so it transformed into something else entirely. Frequently manufactured from man-made materials such as nylon, it was the paramilitary appearance rather than its protective features that led to its adoption. These variants were cut-down derivatives, now shorter in length but offering a bulky manliness that was complimented by their buzzed heads. Colours also changed to dull greens, shiny blues or matt blacks, or even a claret red.

When skinheads became known for their association with violence and racism they quickly fell out of favour, but their jackets remained, and the bomber jacket, with its new-found adjustments continued to be purchased. Some of the elements of the original design started to reappear, and the fluffy collars came back, together with larger lapels that gave a cosy protective feel that even a steep dive from the clouds couldn't disturb.

The evolution of the bomber jacket means it is now quite tricky to define what one actually is. It can mean different things to different people, the historic associations can be both positive or negative. Checkout the shelves in your vintage clothing store, you could even find a bomber jacket and not even realise what it was. But if you were a high altitude bomber pilot you would certainly recognise an original 1940s version and you 'd love it for its original features.

5 Reasons Why You Need To Practice Yoga At Home

Busy schedules might allow time to attend yoga classes and receive instruction perhaps once per week. You like the yoga benefits. So why would students of yoga practice at home? After all, the conditions at home are quite different from the studio and might not be ideal. Time might be an issue. Still let's look at 5 reasons I found for having a daily practice.

1. Make yoga your own

Yoga on your own becomes an exploration of your body and mind. You practice the poses you like at first. Eventually you'll include the others. There are many bodies practicing; how does a particular technique work for your body? How does it balance your lifestyle and other exercise routine? Questions and uncertainties will arise in your mind. I have found these are answered sooner or later with available resources.

2. Become more familiar with your body

Many Yoga poses are bilateral. Balancing poses make us quite aware of muscular imbalances. Shoulder stretches like Cow's Head reveal disparities right to left. You notice strength increasing some places, and flexibility in others. You notice aches and pains appearing and disappearing.

3. Inspire you to 'be' more

You discover which short practices draw the mind inward; and definitely miss that place when you recognize overdrive or overload. Overdrive - when you want to achieve more and move so quickly it's like a top spinning out of control. Overload - when you feel burdened by events and activities. You know a balanced way to be, and want that state more and more.

4. Develop a helpful habit

Formal practices can be as brief as 10 minutes. A conscious decision to move the body, or practice breathing exercises, or meditate in 10 precious minutes. It might be morning, lunch time, or evening - spring, summer or winter. It's your special time in the 24-hour day. Then without intending to, having a practice becomes part of one's life.

5. Better health and wellness

Yoga benefits include stress management.. It relieves tight muscles, supports the immune system, improves circulation, and tones the nerves. Emotionally, we become calmer, and we learn to express negative emotions; mentally we gain better concentration and focus.

Yoga stories and philosophy cause us to look at ourselves deeper, to observe ourselves more, and to accept ourselves, even when time prevents us from making it to the mat.

May making it to the mat become easier and easier as you claim the many yoga benefits.

Choosing Mother Of Bride Dress Style For A Hawaiian Garden Wedding

Weddings are some of the most important days of our lives; it makes sense that every detail should be perfect. Hawaiian Garden style weddings can be beautiful, elegant, and romantic when all the elements coordinate together to create a perfect day which will be remembered for a lifetime. Memories that last forever are the reason it is so important to choose mother of the bride dress which best suits the Hawaiian Garden wedding. This easy to follow guide will help ensure you choose the mother of the bride dress that is just right for your wedding.

Things to Consider

As with any important decision there are many things to consider when choosing the mother of the bride dress. First and foremost, the preferences of both the bride and her mother should be taken into consideration. What does the bride envision? What does the mother of the bride like and in what styles does she feel most comfortable? What styles flatter the body of the bride's mother most? Keeping in mind the above considerations, the theme of the wedding should also be considered. Happily, a Hawaiian Garden style wedding lends itself well to many styles of dress for the mother of the bride.

Wedding Location

Many Hawaiian Garden style weddings are held outdoors and so the weather should be a consideration. For a warm summer wedding, consider choosing a dress made of chiffon. This breathable fabric is lightweight and will elegantly sway in a light breeze. The wedding location (as well as individual preferences) also has bearing on the length of the dress. A dress which falls just below the knees can be an elegant choice for warm weather. A small shrug or matching jacket is a great choice if there are any concerns about the possibility of a chill in the air.

Wedding Theme

Choosing a mother of the bride dress which both satisfies your personal style and coordinates well with the Hawaiian Garden style wedding can be a breeze. Choose a neckline which matches the formality of your even and opt for embellishments which complement the general style of the event. For example, a strapless style can allude to sunny tropical afternoons while a sweetheart neckline is reminiscent of romance in any climate.

Coordinating

When choosing the mother of the bride's dress it is important to consider what other key people at the wedding will be wearing. If the bridal party are wearing floor length gowns, consider whether or not you would like the mother of the bride to dress similarly. Likewise if the bridesmaids are wearing a distinct style such as a fun tiered dress, consider the possible aesthetic of having the mother of the bride in the same style as the bridesmaids.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately the mother of the bride dress selection should take into consideration the wants and needs of both the bride and her mother, the location of the wedding, the Hawaiian Garden theme, and the attire of other important people in attendance. Take these factors into consideration when choosing the length, style, and fabric of the mother of the bride dress and you will certainly make the right decision.

Are you considering it a challenge to find your mother of the bride dress just the way you would like it? It could be just the right shade of pink or a certain size you need. There is diversity of beautiful color and a wide range of sizes to end your search at JessicasFashion.com. We have modest mother of the bride dresses, online prom dresses, modest evening wear, discounted evening dresses. We also have a huge collection of cocktail bridesmaid dresses.

Yoga Moves to Help With Lower Back Pain

Approximately 1 out of 4 adults experience low back pain. It is a growing problem. The cause of the pain can be physical, and aggravated by behavior. If you want to address more than the physical cause of the pain, yoga moves offers a holistic approach.

Types of Yoga Moves

In a typical class of say 60 minutes, you could practice 10 yoga postures. Typically a yoga class will have breathing exercises at the beginning or end of the class, and relaxation at the end of the poses. Postures would have to be adapted and modified to suit your ability and pain sensation.

While there is no set prescription of a combination of yoga poses for low back pain, the movement has been proven to work. In 10 poses you could cover a variety of movement: Lying on the back, lying on the stomach, kneeling, standing forward bend, sitting forward bend, back bend, and lateral bend. All appropriately arranged.

Quality of Movement

When a beginner to yoga is able to focus on the sensation present, the awareness allows for self-regulation: Softening the knee this moment, re-engaging the lower abdomen and solar plexus area to lengthen the spine, re-engaging the quadriceps and hamstrings.

Repetition a few times with the breath rather than holding the poses is often easier. For example: Exhaling bend and then inhaling extend; or raising and lowering the arms while lying.

To improve strength, over time poses can be held and made increasingly difficult.

Time Involved

What will your schedule permit? A twice weekly practice of 60 minutes? A 15-minute practice 3 times a week? A daily practice? Create some time for practice. Yoga is far from being a quick fix. While you may experience relief from pain in your first session, the benefits of yoga accumulate. Give yourself at least 6 weeks with the program. Four months is actually just the beginning.

Results

Yoga is a holistic therapy. You'll experience more calm as well the physical benefits of reduced intensity of the low back pain, increased flexibility and strength. More mobility and even the complete absence of pain is also possible, depending on the cause of the pain. You might even reduce your use of medication. Posture will improve.

Some yoga classes include meditation, even if it is 1 minute of breath awareness at the end of the class when the mind is already significantly more quiet. Regular practice of yoga and meditation increases our ability to observe ourselves and regulate behavior that would increase pain.

And now, I'd like to invite you to claim your free Stress Warning Signals test when you visit http://www.yogatogo.com/

Searching for the Versatile Day Dress

Finding an outfit for an evening event is, comparatively, a lot easier than choosing a day dress. Unlike a smart evening event, a daytime social occasion, no matter how formal or where it happens to be, can cause a huge amount of consternation regarding the necessity of dress and the particular protocol that must be followed. Even if you are expressly told that the event is only going to be casual, if it's a work event, then you know that some of your colleagues are likely to make a much bigger effort and leave you looking dowdy. This isn't such a problem if you're in the majority, but what if you're not and become the black sheep of the party? Well, the solution is to find a summer dress that will work for both causal and formal occasions, depending on whether you decide to dress it up or down.

There is a wide selection of day dresses available both online and in stores, but the knack is to find an outfit which is both simple, yet elegant. Using this as something of a blank canvass, you can then choose a range of other accessories or garments that can be based around your new day dress and which will ensure you're never shown up again. Perhaps the best weapon in your armoury is the humble cardigan. This seemingly unostentatious garment can quickly and easily transform an outfit from summer time chic, to evening elegance in little more than a few seconds. Cardigans are great as unlike jackets, they can easily be stored in a handbag and are relatively light and easy to carry. Despite their association with a slightly older generation, cardigans are very much back in vogue and there are some modern designs that are particularly edgy and chic. Wearing one with a bold, hand-printed silk scarf can work wonders, to say nothing of the fact that it can keep you nice and warm when the daytime sunshine gives way to a colder breeze.

Of course, no matter what you wear, there is no reason why you can't put on your very best shoes and dazzle away irrespective of the formality of the event. Indeed, it is often these little finishing touches that can reassure you when you're heading into new stylistic territory. If in doubt about what to buy, why not head online to check out the vast array of day dresses stocked by a number of online stores.

Yoga Exercise - Soften a Life Lesson by Changing Your Language of Letting Go and With Yoga Exercise

Is there an event in your life that you are still blaming someone for? Here's how to gain a deeper understanding of the event so you can end the blame game; and a yoga exercise to open your heart.

The old wound

Recall an event in your life that created a lot of pain and now you have mastered both letting go and the life lesson. Your life changed significantly and now you are at about a 90% mark of letting go. Look closely now, and check to see if you still hold blame or anger, believing it was all that person's fault.

How to keep the anger - 3 ways

1. Every time you remember the event, in your mind's eye you see the other individual and the significant part they played.

2. You totally forget or avoid thinking of the individual you hold some anger towards, and only recount your success in coping with the situation.

3. You speak only of the life lesson, and what you have resolved never to do again.

How to get the whole lesson

In a quiet moment, notice how you feel about the event. You clearly see it as a life lesson you learned. Notice the resolve not to repeat, and what you must and will do instead.

Then take relaxed deep breaths. As you exhale let your body settle down. Place your hand, or both hands on your heart and continue relaxed deep breathing. Embrace a feeling of surrender.

Now notice the language you use around this event. You may be using words like life lesson; and notice any unkind labels you give yourself. Can you now remind yourself that the whole universe is involved in this event, and that this occasion gave you the opportunity for greater learning.
How does this word learning resonate with you? How about the word wisdom? The whole universe dished up a few actors, some props and well placed lines, so that you could increase your wisdom and understanding of Life.
Yoga Exercise

When there is such a shift in awareness, it is likely the body wants to move, to stretch or to relax deeper with the new consciousness. Try this yoga exercise:

Mudra (hand position) - Interlace your fingers, palms touch, with right thumb over left. Rest the hands wherever is comfortable.

Yoga Breathing - Notice how much longer the inhalation is. Be aware of the space just created in the chest as you breathe. The whole heart center will now be open and free. Breathe in appreciation for the learning.

And now, I'd like to invite you to claim your free download of guided relaxation and information on other wellness strategies when you visit http://www.yogatogo.com/ and please sign up for our newsletter for more tips for your healing journey.

When to Wear Indian Clothes

Indian clothing is a broad category that is normally understood to include traditional clothes like Sarees, Salwar kameez suits, Kurtas, etc. In India and internationally, these are some of the most common clothes that have a natural association with India and Indian dresses. does this mean that all Indians wear these all the time? The answer is no, especially in these modern times.

Indians living in India usually wear a combination of traditional Indian and western clothes. This reflects the mix of western and Indian culture that exists in India. Traditional Indian clothes are popular in smaller cities and towns as the dress of choice for daily and occasional use. In larger cities and metros, traditional Indian clothes are usually restricted to important festivals and occasions rather than daily use.

The influence of western culture and multi-national corporations in larger cities shapes the work culture dress sense. The kind of clothes worn in the office are western in nature. Traditional Indian dresses like salwar suits have given way to modern suits. For men, the safari suit has given way to two piece suits. The change is drastically noticeable if one compares the dressing sense and style in offices across cities of different sizes.

Traditional Indian clothes are usually worn for important festivals and celebrations in the larger cities. Festivals like Diwali, holi, Eid, etc. are the key times that Indian outfits are flaunted. These festivals are usually a family affair and involve meeting the extended family and close relatives for meals and celebrations.

Indian Weddings are an important occasion to wear Indian clothing also. These are usually extended celebrations involving the family and over many days. Clothes from India like sarees and Salwar kameez suits for women and Sherwanis and Kurtas for men are the most common sight. Indian clothes lend an aura of tradition to a wedding.

In smaller cities, traditional Indian Clothes are commonly worn everyday and for occasions. The everyday variety of Indian clothes are in comfortable materials like cotton and feature limited or no embroidery. For Indian weddings, the Indian outfits are in silk and other expensive materials. The styling is more extravagant and usually make use of extensive amount of embellishments and embroidered detailing

So, when to wear Indian outfits?
Occasions like Indian festivals and celebrations are very high on the list. For the rest of the time, it depends on whether you are in a small city / town or a bigger city. The choice of whether to wear Indian outfits is also a personal choice, but tends to be influenced by popular opinion and perceptions.

Can Basic Yoga Poses Generate Vulnerable Feelings?

Vulnerable feelings turn our eyes within. There is surprise the first time we come face to face with our fears in a basic yoga pose. If we are in a class, we may notice just 2 things: the pose being executed with ease by another practitioner, and our utter trepidation.

Three poses come to mind when I think of the provocation of vulnerable feelings. One can challenge our physical strength; another pose may expose some nameless uncomfortable feeling; and another can remind us of that which we want to forget. The positions our body assumes affect us physically, emotionally and mentally.

The Hand Stand

A pose where the body leans against a wall upside down supported by arms and hands. Though it is possible, you hardly see anyone in a regular yoga class practicing this pose without the support of the wall. The idea of the body being supported by arms is usually quite intimidating for women. Some of us remember being very unwilling to entertain the idea of attempting the pose. My personal experience is that with correct guidance in technique, vulnerable feelings can propel courage and determination to produce positive results.

The Camel

The front of the body is sensitive and receptive. It's the camel's hump in the camel pose. This pose lengthens the front of the body from the sternum to pelvis, in a kneeling position. This basic yoga pose is modified so the arc from the knees to the crown is very gentle. Sometimes soft rumblings of unfamiliar feelings can be felt. A slow release into Child's Pose calms feelings of vulnerability and turns our eyes within.

Relaxation Pose

The dead man's pose is anything but dead. The breath lifts and lowers the chest. And the mind can be very active. Some part of us is playing dead and another part is coming alive. The muscles and bones lie still. Something below the surface is waking up and it is unwelcome. Do I stay or do I get up? Here I am alone with me.

Ultimately we are alone with ourselves in both active and more passive basic yoga poses. It is our chance to see ourselves in new ways. A chance to synchronize the feminine quality of vulnerability with the masculine courage. This union of opposites that is yoga is to be embraced. Hold the familiar long enough and the unfamiliar will surface. Venture near the unfamiliar while keeping the familiar near. This is the ecstatic dance of yoga.

2012 Jewelry Fashion Outlook: All About Natural

It's a busy time in the jewelry and fashion world. While most of us are still enjoying barbecues, vacations and flip flops, the fashion world is hard at work on their fall collections. Here, from the studios and runways of jewelry's top designers and reporters, is a sneak peek at what's ahead in fall for jewelry and accessories.

All About Natural

If there's a buzzword for the 2012 fall jewelry season, it's "natural." Fall 2012 jewelry will be all about nature and natural tones. Designs will be inspired by animals, flowers, and exotic ethnic cultures. Size wise, big will still be in, so go for large statement pieces.

Here's an overview of what to look forward to this fall:

Earth tones are in. The super neon look of the 1980s are out (again) in favor of more subdued and natural Earth tones. Bigger is still better, though, so look for large bracelets and necklaces in whites, creams and beiges.

The year of blue. To add some color to the natural Earth tones, go for blue. From aqua to azure, navy to turquoise, blue is the must-have color for fall 2012.

Celebrate flowers. As mentioned before, fall 2012 jewelry is all about natural-and the beauty of flowers will be celebrated in jewelry this season. You'll see flowers in every combination, from buds to full-blown floral arrangements, in every kind of piece from brooches to rings.

Go big with bib necklaces. Look for large, layered art deco and Egyptian-influenced bib necklaces - the kind Michelle Obama wears quite often. The key to making this look is to pair it with a basic blouse with a simple neckline. Let the necklace complement, not compete with, your outfit.

Geometric jewelry shapes. Triangle- and diamond-shaped earrings, square rings and bracelets, and necklaces with circular stones are going to be seen on people and on TV this fall, as geometric jewelry is back in vogue.

Crosses are cool. Whatever your religion or belief, there is something stunning about the beauty of an intricate cross jewelry piece. Look for intricate pieces in non-traditional colors.

Nature and Native-American. American Indian- and nature-inspired jewelry will once again be in this fall. Think multi-colored beaded and turquoise bracelets, necklaces with leaf or shell pendants and earrings with feathered designs. Go easy on real feathers as a hair accessory, though, that's on its way out.

Tribal/Ancient Mayan. Let your inner warrior shine through this fall with Ancient Mayan and tribal-inspired necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Look for worn gold and silver-colored pieces with beaded accents of turquoise, dark reds, blues, greens and browns.

When you bring in a piece of jewelry or other item to Empire, that property is appraised by a professional jeweler. If you choose to take a loan out or "pawn it" instead of sell it, the item becomes collateral against the loan, and you receive cash against that collateral.

For more information on getting a loan on your specific gold, jewelry or other item, go to our selling section.

Yoga Therapy - Turn Surgery Wait Times Into a Wellness Plan For Inner Peace With Yoga Therapy

If you are waiting for word to find out what's really going on with your body, you probably feel like your life is on hold, and you have little control. Even though you may feel powerless, you do have vital control.

Use wait times to discover more about your own body mind, and accumulate precious moments of inner peace and well being. Develop a wellness plan.

Focus

What's In your control during this wait time is your choice of focus. The simple act of bringing your attention to your breathing can slow down the breathing process and draw your attention inward. Your wellness plan must include developing a relationship with your breath. Take a few moments often during the day to observe the breath. Slow it down by making the exhalations a little longer. In addition, here is a practice that deepens the breath.

Practice:

Place your hands on your hips with thumbs in the back and fingers pointing forward so your palms are parallel to the ground. Notice how this position affects your breath. If you naturally breathe deeply, 5 to 10 breaths will no doubt be enough for you to feel a difference. If you are a shallow breather and your shoulders are tight, it will take longer for the breath to reach deeper in the abdomen. Be patient.

Attitude

During these dreary wait times, could you find a way to be okay with the way things are? Acknowledge your feelings whatever they are. Stop blaming yourself or others. Listen to a guided relaxation or meditation that works for you, and find the place of gratitude within. Your wellness plan must include having a positive attitude. Learn to relax more and experience inner peace and a sense of wellbeing. Here is one way to create this physiological change.

Practice:

Once or twice a day find a quiet spot where you won't be disturbed. Turn off the phone or decide that you will let it ring and not answer it. This is your quiet time to practice relaxation. Slowly and silently repeat the following phrases to yourself. Repeat each phrase two to four times. "I am beginning to feel relaxed.... My hands and arms are heavy and warm.... My feet and legs are heavy and warm.... My breathing is slow and regular.... My heartbeat is calm and regular."

Use wait times to build a closer relationship with your body and breath, as well as to practice inducing a physical state of deep rest. In yoga therapy, practices are modified to individual needs. Make adjustments to the best of your ability and accumulate moments of inner peace and wellbeing.

And now, I'd like to invite you to claim your free download of guided relaxation and meditation when you visit http://www.yogatogo.com/

Brand New Pair Of Shoes

It is a great feeling to go out and buy a new outfit for any occasion, whether it is for formalwear or to go to work or just for casual means. You eagerly bring your new clothes home and try them on again in front of your mirror. Of course, most people want to buy accessories too so they can make the outfit more significant and special. So you jauntily go out looking for some new earrings or other bits and pieces of jewellery, keeping nicely within your budget. You might even buy a new handbag, belt or scarf. The item that most often gets forgotten is shoes. How about a brand new pair?

The thought of cost looms into your mind but this can be lessened by looking for cheap women's footwear of which there is masses. So you really can indulge your passion for fashion and get the complete look. It does not have to be a massive challenge to find just the right pair of shoes to complement your ensemble, even if this is just for casual weekend wear. If you go online and look for cheap women's shoes, you can avoid the foot grinding trudge of going up and down the High street, looking into endless shop windows and seeing nothing suitable.

More often than not, when you do that, one of two things happens. You either trail home desolate and empty handed, your feet are tired and you have wasted your day. Or, you make the classic panic buy, and get something totally unsuitable to your real needs. Your bright new purchase will invariably end up in the back of the wardrobe, unused. As women rarely throw out old shoes 'just in case', it is unlikely they will even make it to the next Scout's jumble sale. The other likely event if one of these does not happen is that you find a pair of shoes that may not be a panic buy and they may look stunningly gorgeous and everything you ever dreamed of. The only problem is that they are way over your budget and you come home feeling forlorn anyway because you have spent too much.

There is a much simpler option if you go online and search for cheap women's footwear and you can then enjoy the best of both worlds: you can buy some fabulous shoes to go with your outfit that are comfortable, at the height of fashion and are well within your pocket size.

Yoga and You - The Best Things to Know

Yoga is like your toothbrush. This strange thought occurred to me. So I pondered how and came up with 3 reasons why. Here there are:

1. Very Personal

How do you choose your toothbrush. Is it primarily according to the quality of your gum, how sensitive it is and the impact the bristles will have on your gum? Or do you fall for how attractive the handle is, the color, design, or advertising?

Like toothbrushes, there are many types of Yoga to choose from. In the texts of this ancient tradition we'll find a type of yoga for different personality types. In the type of yoga that is mostly physical, Hatha Yoga, there are again many different styles.

Yoga is so personal that even when you have decided on a type and style of yoga, the way you practice has to be adjusted according to your body type, health, age, lifestyle, and to be balanced it helps to take into account the bigger picture of the season of year.

2. Designed for Cleansing

What are we cleaning when we practice? The body and mind. Cleansing practices include breathing or pranayama. Pranayama can be both powerful and heating like kapalabhati and breath of fire; and gentle like alternate nostril breathing, nadi shodhana. You can even break out in a sweat with certain seemingly gentle breathing practices.

Asana or posture practice is also cleansing. Twisting, flexing, extending, holding, combined with conscious breathing help to flush the system, physically, emotionally and mentally.

3. More Effective When Used Twice Daily

If you can create space to practice yoga twice daily, you will notice quite a difference in your state of mind and body. Practice to bring balance. Energize In the morning to get going. Bring calm and closure at the end of the day.

Practicing 10 minutes a day is more effective than 60 minutes once a week. If your current practice is once weekly and works very well for you, by all means stick to it. And consider how you could include a short daily practice to support your life's journey even more.

Three questions to know your better:

1. What are my reasons for practicing yoga?
2. How does my body and mind feel after a yoga practice?
3. How do I adjust my practice according to my changing bodily needs?

What are your best things to know about yoga? I'd like to know.

Sock Must-Haves - Building a Great Sock Wardrobe

Have you heard of a sock wardrobe? If you haven't, it can be likened to a closet filled with all the clothes you need for different occasions. From everyday pieces up to those you'd wear on important events, the wardrobe has to be complete. With hoses, stockings, and hosiery, it's no different. You shouldn't wear one style over and over. Some types are made for running and working out, while the rest go well with formal attire. Therefore, it's a must that your hosiery wardrobe contain all kinds of socks, from novelty and more tradition designs to performance styles.

What types of socks should your wardrobe have?

Just as there are shoes for different events, there is a wide variety of foot coverings to add to your wardrobe too. The first type represents those that you would wear to formal events. Women normally go sock-less when they wear heels and cocktail dresses at parties, but some look fabulous in stockings, tights, and floral leggings. Men, on the other hand, may choose to wear formal hose so that they can easily slip into a pair of nice Italian shoes.

The next type is called sport or performance socks, and they are worn during workout and exercise sessions, and even during ordinary days. These foot essentials are paired with running or workout shoes, sneakers, or even sandals. They are usually made from cotton for absorbing moisture, and nylon for that much-needed elasticity. They come in different colors, but most of them are usually white, black, or grey.

Another type that you must have in your wardrobe is the novelty design. These are fun, flirty, and colorful foot coverings that can be used for fashion purposes. They come in different types such as the following: toe, mismatched and fancy bobby socks. If you want to channel a Japanese girl inspired look, slip into a pair of bright-colored knee-high hosiery and match it with a cool skirt and top. If you want to be different during Halloween, you can try Halloween theme socks to complete your scary or funny costume.

And lastly, if you are an environmental advocate, you can fill your drawer with eco-friendly, organic socks. These are made from organic cotton and other all-natural materials, so they are not only safe to humans. But also, they don't pose a threat to the environment. The methods used in the production of these foot essentials are free of pesticides and other harmful, artificial chemicals. So our rivers, trees, and air remain clean and intact.

These sock must-haves will get you started in building a hosiery wardrobe that will surely add the WOW factor to any outfit.

Yoga Exercises and Ayurveda - Adjusting Your Pace of Yoga Exercises and Yoga Breathing For Balance

When you know your Ayurvedic constitution you can make important choices regarding your speed and style of practice of yoga exercises and yoga breathing. While Yoga Exercises means a lot more than physical movement, this focus is on the physical aspect of yoga. The principles given here can be applied both while in the yoga pose, and in day to day living to achieve comfort in the body and a quiet mind.

Let's take 3 key qualities of your body mind according to Ayurveda: strength of body, temperature of body, and stability of mind, and apply these to a yoga pose, the basic standing pose, Tadasana.

Strong Body

If you have thin bones, your constitution might be weaker than someone with a stocky build. You may both look the same holding the pose, yet you'll begin to feel tired sooner. What's happening on the inside is totally different. Focus on your connection with the ground and peacefully refocus whenever the mind wanders.

Those with a stronger body can focus on yoga breathing. Yoga breathing is breathing appropriately, filling the lungs from top to bottom, or bottom to top in restful breathing. Ideally everyone would be practicing yoga breathing while holding the pose; it's the focus of attention that is different.

Stability of Mind

If the mind is dull and lethargic, large upward movement of the arms will stimulate the body mind. While standing in Tadasana, raise arms overhead. You may even create a flow of movement, raising the arms on the inhalation and lowering them on the exhalation.

If on the other hand the mind is very active, pick a spot and focus the eyes on that spot to experience some stability. You may also focus the mind on the connection of the feet with the ground. Another choice is to silently repeat a word like "strength" or "peace" on the exhalation. Choose a word that has the greatest impact for you.

Temperature of Body

Always feeling cold? Build heat with stronger breathing during the yoga pose, especially in the cold seasons. Breathe into chest first, then abdomen second. Pay attention that your breathing is smooth and consistent. Use strong breathing to create heat in the body.

If on the other hand your body temperature tends to be hot, avoid over-heating by breathing bottom up, abdomen first chest second. Or you may breathe top down smoothly, quietly and gently. Relax your effort a bit to experience more coolness and less fire.

Learn more about your body according to Ayurveda and do have a safe practice.
